  I was initially excited about my trip to The Tile Shop. My client purchased all of their product from Queen City Stone and Tile and picked out a speciality mosaic at TTS. I was looking forward to browsing their vast array of displays and tile options. I stepped into the store and walked right past an employee who didn't greet me. I didn't realize he worked there because he was dressed like a bouncer at a night club with a white button down shirt and a charcoal vest over it. I came to find out that it was the official uniform as others wore matching apparel. The employee later told me that TTS wanted the employees to purchase the new uniform which is a TTS polo for $40 which he didn't elect to do because this job was a stepping stone for him. I had spoken to a sales clerk previous to my visit and he advised that he would split the shipping with me on my order. Of course when I arrived I was billed for the full freight charge. As I began to browse the displays I noticed many of the bath tubs had LARGE collections of dirt/dust collected at the bottom. TTS is known for their large selection which I give them credit for. The prices are ridiculous on some items, $9-10 PSF for slate? C'mon now. There are far better places to shop for tile in the area!
