  Beware. Essex does do some good things but some of their contractors work is sloppy and it's hard to get Essex to fight with them. I had to work with their roofers to get issues resolved and it took a fight. Essex did not assist much. If you discover anything outside the 1 year warranty, that is not a structural issue, Essex will likely say your 1 year warranty is up.
