  Thanks to my relocated mother, I got to use her Groupon for this small but relaxing massage spa. I was able to make a next day appointment for a deep tissue massage with Kevin, but it turned out to be Kristen. The room was clean and tidy, a mixture of Zen and anatomy (a huge poster displayed male musculature). The face cradle and/or the cover often slipped during our session, so I had to adjust sometimes. As for the actual massage, it was definitely deep tissue. I have a regular MT I go to and adore, and as someone who's tried out different spas and specifically requested deep tissue, Kristen did the best job outside of his work! She was strong and firm, but also listened and watched to make sure what she was doing wasn't too much. In addition to the usual detox sniffles associated with DT massage, I actually felt energized afterwards.
